Universal fit for nearly all McPherson spring struts with coil springs.
Fits particularly for right or left rising springs, conical springs, eccentric springs, springs with a low number of coils, springs with a high or varying spring pitch, spring struts with tension stop springs as well as for spring struts with electronic control and sensors.
The stationary spring compressor allows the tensioning of almost every McPherson strut available on the market.
Since the spring is tensioned against the lower spring plate via the upper spring plate, the shape of the spring or spring pitch is irrelevant.
The unique design with variable spring plate support, the adjustable support and the adjustable holding device with one-hand operation make this spring compressor one of the most universal and safest on the market.
The adapter plate allows the spring compressor to be easily mounted on a tool/assembly trolley or workbench.

The shape of the spring, whether it is a coil spring, right or left rising spring, conical spring, eccentric spring, spring with a low number of coils and a strong or different spring pitch does not matter, because with the KL-5501 B you tension the spring via the upper spring plate against the lower one.
Tensioning of shock absorbers with pulling shock!
Due to the high clamping travel of the spring compressor of 570 mm in combination with the high clamping force of up to max. 15 000 N, even shock absorbers with pulling shocks, which require a very high spring preload, are no problem.
No damage to the damper tube!
The clamping bars of the holding device can be quickly adjusted parallel to the respective tube diameter via a knurled nut. The plastic clamping jaws ensure that the damper tube is held gently.
One-man operation!
The entire work sequence can be carried out by just one person. This is also made possible by the damper tube holding device with quick clamping and one-hand operation.
Mobile due to tool/assembly trolley!
The adapter plate on the spring compressor allows it to be mounted not only on a workbench but also on a tool/assembly trolley. The optionally available MODULO fastening kit - KL-5501-211 additionally allows mounting on a MODULO tool/assembly trolley - KL-4999-120 A or KL-4999-121 A as well as on a vertical wall. This allows you to work flexibly and quickly on the vehicle.
