KL-5901 - Federspanner, stationär
22,500 N clamping force for safe work on McPherson struts
Strong suspension springs place high demands on the spring compressor when removing and fitting McPherson struts. Particularly in SUVs, pick-ups and electric vehicles, high spring forces must be managed safely and in a controlled manner.
The KL-5901 stationary spring compressor from GEDORE Automotive is designed for this purpose with a clamping force of 22,500 N, equivalent to around 2.3 tonnes. At the same time, the design offers a fourfold safety margin and has been tested by an independent body up to a load of more than 9.0 tonnes.
For this combination of high clamping force and a safe, controlled clamping process, the KL-5901 was nominated for the Innovation Award at Automechanika 2026.
Disassembly
The E-Drive Stator Lift ensures that the electric motor is positioned securely within the separation device. The rotor and stator are held in place with precision before the table is lowered in a controlled manner. This allows the rotor and stator to be separated without coming into contact with one another – while maintaining the radial air gap. This protects the component surfaces and lays the foundation for a cost-effective repair.
