The particular construction of the thrust discs, ensures a secure and exact centring when replacing the wheel bearing.
When removing and fitting the wheel bearing, pressure is applied only to the bearing outer ring and when fitting the wheel hub, pressure is applied only to the bearing inner ring.
This prevents damage to the new wheel bearing.
The combination of centring and thrust rings results in thrust pieces which can be precisely matched to the wheel bearing diameter.
In the case of very tight or rusted wheel bearings, a hydraulic 17 t drive can also be used as an option.
By supplementing the tool set with further parts of the [1:KL-0039-... series ]such as centering and thrust rings or thrust / support sleeves, the wheel bearing tool can be used almost universally, e.g. also for changing support joints or silent bearings.
